The public is invited to attend the first Town Hall meeting today to discuss redistricting at LCPS.
The first town hall meeting will be hosted in the Commons area at Organ Mountain High School (5700 Mesa Grande Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88011) today, Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will cover proposed zone options for elementary, middle and high school and will provide an opportunity for feedback on zone preferences.
*The second town hall will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 in the Mayfield High School cafeteria (1955 N Valley Dr #5154, Las Cruces, NM 88007.)

Last night, Superintendent Ruiz met with the OMHS parent leadership group and staff to discuss key topics such as safety, security, support and grant funding opportunities. We are grateful for collaborative efforts with LCPS families to make our school community even stronger.
Superintendent Ruiz joined Ruby Bada on "Al Aire" Podcast this morning to discuss the importance of reaching our Spanish-speaking community, redistricting process and the district calendar. LCPS is looking for family feedback to ensure decisions reflect our community's needs.

Congratulations to Alex Guerra, our LCPS student athlete of the week from Organ Mountain High School. Alex is a strong safety for the Knights football team. He has 78 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.
Coach Sanchez says Alex is a natural leader. Alex credits his father for pushing him to be the best he can be.
Congratulations to Alyssa Sylva, our LCPS student athlete of the week from Organ Mountain High School. Alyssa is on the volleyball team for the Knights. She has 109 kills, 51 blocks/assists and has a serving percentage of 100%.

On Friday, LCPS hosted the Energy Expo and Career Symposium at NMSU. It was a day of thriving activity as over 3,000 students learned about opportunities in the drone and energy industry, including careers in agriculture, economics, solar, wind & more!

If you love BBQ, you won’t want to miss the Grill and Thrill BBQ Competition happening at the Field of Dreams Baseball Complex at 4pm.
The event brings together all of our high schools for a team competition to see who can take home bragging rights for the best BBQ!
