Upon the occurrence of lightning at dismissal time, students who drive may be released based on principal’s discretion. All bus riders and walkers will be sheltered until the area is deemed safe. Tonight will be the first football game at the new and improved Field of Dreams. The stadium includes a new videoboard that will give us a closer look at the action on the field. Teams will be playing on new artificial turf featuring logos from each high school at LCPS. A new track will be installed next!

Congratulations Coach David Nuñez! Over the years, longtime Organ Mountain High School cross-country coach David Nunez has guided the cross-country program for the Knights for nearly 30 years. Since then, he was named the 2021 coach of the year for 5A boys cross-country by the New Mexico Track and Cross-Country Coaches Association. Nunez was also named as an All-Star Cross-Country coach for this years’ 2022-2023 inaugural All-Star Cross-Country event. During his career, Nunez has guided the Knights to numerous District Titles. He has led 17 district wins for boys cross-country, and 13 district wins for girls cross-country. With a total of 30 District Championship titles for Organ Mountain High School. This year, the New Mexico High School Coaches Association Board of Directors, selected Coach David Nunez as the 2023 coach of the year for girls’ cross-country.

Congratulations to Mason Carmona from OMHS for competing in the Desert Light Film Festival and winning the "Best in Festival Award" for his music video, "Interlude." Mason was recognized for his achievement last month by the Las Cruces Public Schools Board of Education.
