Las Cruces Public Schools is preparing to welcome students back to school for the 2026-2027 school year. As campuses prepare for another wonderful year, students and their families are invited to attend their school’s Meet & Greet and Open House events before classes begin.
Each school at LCPS will each host a Meet & Greet, followed by an Open House on a later date. Families are encouraged to review the attached schedule for dates and times at their child’s school.
The Meet & Greet for elementary and middle schools will give students and their families an opportunity to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and receive class schedules, and learn more about the upcoming school year.
High school Meet and Greets are designed to help students prepare for the first day of school by allowing them to pick up class schedules in advance. In addition to its Meet & Greet and Open House, Centennial High School will also host a ninth-grade orientation. Please review the attached schedule for details.
Open House events will be held at each school once the semester has begun. These events give parents and guardians the opportunity to meet with teachers, learn about classroom expectations, and receive information about their child's academic progress. Because dates and times vary by campus, families should review the schedule carefully.
Transition Day for kindergarten, sixth-grade, and ninth-grade students is Friday, July 24. The first day back to school for all other grade levels is Monday, July 27, 2026.
